I grew up in the Delaware Water Gap area of Northern New Jersey where I fell in love with hiking and the outdoors. While I stepped away a number of times I was always drawn back to the region for one reason or another. Spending much of my professional life in NYC gave me an even deeper yearning to be outside in the woods. Until last year I had held a life-long hatred against winter, when I realized that if i was geared up properly, and embraced winter for what it was, that it was amazing in its own right. I began snowshoeing on a 10 dollar pair of shoes off craigslist and instantly felt like 4 months of outdoor activity was given back to me. I love being able to spend 4 seasons out of doors now enjoying the hiking and climbing that I have loved in the Catskills and ADKs and Hudson Valley.
Completed my first outdoor/adventure film (A short narrative on fly-fishing) Last year, and am in production of two others currently.
• Snowshoe three 4K peaks in the ADKs + slide MNT in the Catskills
• Snowshoe 5 miles 3x-4x per week from December-March
• Get my kids into shoeing
• Continue my weight loss plan - In August I weighed an unhealthy 230lbs, and began seriously training and eating well. Have since then lost 18 pounds and I don't intend on Winter stopping that
• Catch a trout or salmon on a fly rod while snowshoeing
